Cost Per Nine Week Duration:

One Course – $135 per person

Two Courses – $240 per person

Three Courses – $325 per person

Location: Townsville! BFitt Gym. Classes located in the upstairs dance studio. All classes are airconditioned, with mirrors and dance flooring. BFitt is located at 6/2 Woodman Ct, West End QLD 4810. Opposite Castletown, next to Chipmunks Playland. Plenty of on-site parking available.

PLEASE NOTE: In TERM TWO we will run our student performance courses. These technique courses in term one are a pre requisite to be able to join us for those. All of our performance opportunities are completely optional but for those who wish to partake in that we need you to take our technique classes first.

All classes adhere to Covid Safe practice outlined by Ausdance and approved by QLD Health.

Refund Policy: There are no refunds or class credits for missed classes or change of mind. By prepaying for this course you are pledging to attend. This in turn means we can cover our time and resources to hold the class. We will also not be held liable for refunds or credits in the case of natural disaster, government enforced Covid lockdown or changes in government legislation in regards to any compulsory vaccination requirements. In the event of a Covid Lockdown we will however continue the course via online methods.

TRANSNATIONAL FUSION WITH JORDAN

Transnational Fusion Belly Dance blends the movements of cabaret style belly dance with that of Fat Chance Belly Dance and peppers it with elements of flamenco, hip hop and Odissi. The end product is ethereal, otherworldly, sharp and mesmerising. Jordan has trained extensively in the United States to study the 8 elements program and to study under the greats of this style. Dancers such as Rachel Brice, Mardi Love and Ashley Lopez. She will address the very foundational techniques of this style for students to further their knowledge and foundation.

Egyptian Raqs Sharqi! This dance with roots as ancient as the Pyramids has so many wonderful secrets to share with the initiate. This dance style contributes to the student stronger muscles, flexibility, and stronger cardio-vascular health. It also releases endorphins into the brain, which generate a feeling of well-being. So what’s on the other end of your comfort zone?? A wonderful world of dance and friendship just waiting to be explored!!

VEIL DANCE: EGYPTIAN RAQS SHARQI (BELLY DANCE) WITH CARA

Veil Dance has long been associated with the art of Belly Dance. But what is the real story? In this course Cara will cover the dance foundations of this beautiful prop as well as the associated myths and legends. You will glide and float in silk while better learning how to dance with this beautiful apparatus. You can opt to borrow a Veil for this course or we can put you in contact with our Silk Veil supplier to buy your very own.
