In this course students will learn more about Cuban Salsa technique. Students will expand their knowledge on turn patterns, musicality and further techniques to build their Cuban Salsa repertoire. We will also address better ease of movement and understanding those clean transitions. This course is a must for anyone looking to keep their progress and social dance skills sharp!

Cara!! With over 20 years experience dancing up a Salsa storm, Cara absolutely adores Cuban Dance. A multi award winning dancer and choreographer her expertise includes multiple dance styles. Her experience and teachings cross a broad spectrum of the Cuban Dance experience. Wearing her hat as director and choreographer of the Global Dance Collective team she was recently named the winner of the Australian Rueda de Casino Amateur Championships. She is also on the committee of both the Afrekete Afro Cuban Dance Festival and the FNQ Festival Cubano. But her favourite is introducing this art form to complete beginners and watching the life changing benefits unfold.
Rod! Rod’s fun, fresh teaching style has quickly made him a favourite among dance teachers in Townsville. His passion is Salsa dance and he has trained, studied and completed tuition under some of the best dancers in the country. He recently had the honour of being named the winner of the Australian Rueda de Casino Amateur Championships as a part of the Global Dance Collective team. He has performed on the stages of some of the best Dance Festivals in Queensland. He feels that imparting not only the dance technique but strong foundations in musicality and cultural knowledge is the strongest way to build good dancers and community development.
