Are you looking to learn the basics of Rueda de Casino? Or are you looking to really understand what makes for the best technique in this style and want to fine tune your skills? Then this course is for you!

What is Rueda de Casino? Rueda is a type of circle dance that came from Salsa de Casino in Cuba, meaning “Casino Wheel”. Each dancer is paired with a leader or follower and positioned to make a circle. Rueda is not a choreography, it all spontaneous routines called by one person who is named the caller, they call the steps that the dancers have to make, swapping partners many times as they move around and keep the shape of the circle. Suitable for: Students who have a basic knowledge of salsa steps (at least 6 months experience) and for Rueda students wanting to fine tune their foundations. This course would be perfect for existing Rueda students who need to make sure their skills are sharp (especially going into our Rueda schedule for 2024).

What we’ll cover: the basic foundational moves, structure, the rules and timing. We’ll take the time to break down the steps in a fun and supportive environment. Leaving you with a solid foundation to join our Tuesday night classes.
