This year is my 25th Belly Dance Anniversary!! Yes! It’s my Silver Jubilee Darling! 🤣🥳

I was blessed to start Belly Dancing at the tender age of 15. Thank god this dance found me! It saved me in SO many ways. I started dancing at a time when (as most of us experience) was very difficult. Those awkward times as a teenager, when you’re told to be something else. Desperate to fit in. But desperate to be heard. Along comes this dance. My saviour. Telling me to just be me. Embracing me with its beautiful community. Surrounding me with Women, of every age and background. Showing me true beauty. True wisdom.

I’ve strived to continue to provide that for other Women, for other young girls. I feel so honoured that Nicole gave me that gift all those years ago. I’ve had thousands of students walk through my doors and I cherish all of them. We’ve experienced so much. You’ve taught me so much too.

So thank you to this beautiful art form. I adore you. I’ll always champion you.
